Eph 6: 10-18, gives clear instructions that will enable us to stand against Devil's schemes. Paul reminds us that we are in spiritual battle and need spiritual armour to stand firm and not get shaken, not be defeated, not be downcast, disheartened, discouraged, depressed and any other D’s that are the schemes of the enemy. It is like a command the commander gives to the army before battle. Wear the armour of God!! Every piece of the armour has to be worn. The first being the belt of truth which perhaps is the most important piece of armour as every other piece of armour depends on it. My salvation, my righteousness, my faith, my sharing of the gospel, my knowledge of the word to attack the enemy all depends on the truth of the gospel. The more this truth is in my innermost being, my understanding of salvation, righteousness, my sharing of the word will be clear, and I will be strengthened to be victorious. Standing my ground and not retreating as the word of God is invincible!!! I will see victory in prayer being alert in my spirit to notice the plans of the enemy and face it with the strength of the word of God.
