Crown of Glory and Honour

Psalm 8:5 You have made them ( us ) a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honour. 

A crown is an ornament worn on the head symbolizing authority, legitimacy, tradition, or victory. It is worn by monarchy or by a deity . We the chosen ones have been adorned with crown of honour and glory even though we have been made a little lower than angels. 

Jesus was crowned with crown of thorns to humiliate and to mock Him . It was symbolically put on Him to  ridicule  His claims of being a King . He wore the crown of humiliation so that we could wear the crown of honour and glory. Hebrews 2:9-10”But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. 

May we always remember the dignity and authority Christ won for us at the cross.May we represent this crown well . May we always be grateful knowing we are sons and daughters of the Lord Most High  in Jesus . And may we thrive in the victory of Jesus!!!
