Neon Family Church

I am Anjali Vikram, originally from Nepal but born and raised in Bangalore. I have a younger brother and an elder sister. I would like to share my testimony of how the LORD chose me and my siblings, much like He made Israel His chosen ones. In 2009, we experienced a profound loss when our mother passed away. Despite feeling hopeless, the LORD somehow connected the three of us to an orphanage, where He began to work in our lives in a different way. Although I knew the stories of Christ, I did not have a personal relationship with God. However, His love for me never wavered; He always loved me the same.

I did not fully realize His love until the day I was about to be baptized. Unsure of the decision I was making, God held my hand and led me into the water. My heart was calm, and I felt a lightness within me as He took away the pain I had been holding for many years. Coming from a Hindu background, I had never known such peace. An incident caused me to lose my hearing, which later became infected. But the LORD, in His mercy, healed me and gave me the courage and strength I needed. As the Bible says, the LORD will not leave the orphan alone and He promised to rescue us no matter where we are.

In 2020, after 10 years, we moved out of the orphanage and started living together with God’s help. By His great mercy, I have come this far because of His faithfulness, protection, provision, and love. Looking back to my past, even when I did not know the LORD, I now see that He was always there protecting me. I am deeply grateful and thankful to the LORD for never leaving me behind. He picked me from the deepest pit and placed me on higher ground. I am blessed to be called God’s daughter, and He has given me a new life in which I am now healed and saved.

I want to express my gratitude to Pastor Ashok and Aunty Suni for their leadership in God’s word, which has greatly assisted me in focusing on the Bible. I also want to express my gratitude to the entire community of Neon Family Church, where I consistently sense the presence of God in my life.
