Wanted: Theological trained Christians

In the yesteryears, there were many cult groups such as Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, Children of God, Christian Science, Scientology, Seventh-day Adventists, and the like. We were warned about their erroneous doctrines and practices, and we have remained safe all these years. Hardly anyone from our flock has fallen prey to their tactics.

However, new kinds of groups with erroneous doctrines have emerged. These are the “post-modernist” groups, and they are quite subtle. Most of Christendom within our sphere might not detect their deviations. I am concerned about the future of our movement and sense the need for a new generation of leaders to emerge. These leaders should be capable of sensing impending danger and safeguarding our faith. To make this happen, we must be well-trained theologically.

Secondly, many of our existing church members might struggle to engage with controversial subjects like the Calvinistic view versus the Arminian view, different views of the millennium (Pre-millennial, A-millennial, or Post-millennial), eternal damnation versus annihilation in Hell, and generational curses. There’s a need for a new breed of theologically trained individuals in light of these concerns.

May I suggest that we consider one of the following options: Some could attend a theologically sound Bible seminary that passionately teaches orthodox doctrines. Alternatively, individuals could enroll in an online Bible college, such as our own Kings Online Bible School, and diligently complete all the offered courses. Another approach could involve dedicating a significant amount of time to self-training through systematic reading and study of the scriptures, accompanied by commentaries and resource materials.

Ten to fifteen years from now, the condition of our churches will be determined by the decisions made today regarding theological training.
