Frequently, we both utter and hear the phrase, “Let us enter into His presence,” implying the need to access a specific place to experience God’s presence. Yet, the truth lies in the omnipresence of God, a fact known to the Psalmist in Psalm 139. “Where can I go from your spirit?” acknowledges the inescapable nature of His presence. It’s a realisation that His presence envelops us everywhere—whether we’re alone at home, driving, at the cinema, with friends, or in the supermarket. His Spirit remains with us—amid darkness and light, during joy and sorrow, in moments of anxiety or relaxation. The magnitude of this truth is breathtaking. Does it reshape our behaviour? Does the awareness of His constant presence instigate change within us?
Consider the impact of comprehending that His presence accompanies us each day and every moment. Psalm 140:13b asserts, “the upright will live in His presence,” highlighting the transformative power of abiding in His company.
